The mind and body are closely connected. Stress, anxiety, low mood, and emotional overload can significantly influence how the body feels and functions.
- Stress can increase muscle tension, pain, and fatigue
- Anxiety can cause chest discomfort, breathlessness, dizziness, or gut symptoms
- Poor sleep can worsen pain perception and energy levels
- Repeated focus on bodily sensations can amplify symptoms
This does not mean symptoms are “imaginary” or “all in the mind”. The physical discomfort is real — but may be influenced by psychological and emotional factors.
Addressing stress, emotions, sleep, and coping strategies often leads to significant improvement in physical symptoms.
